winter visitor

A few weeks ago a friend of mine came over from Germany! Now I must admit, I was very impressed with the journey.

Ralph left from Heligoland and headed towards Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He then set off over the North Sea at 8pm meaning that most of his travelling was done in the dark. The little fella then arrived in Felixstowe, Suffolk four hours later, at midnight. Thats a massive 140 miles in 4 hours!

Some very clever scientists have managed to develop a really small tracking device, that Ralph couldn't wait to show off. They have managed to record his journey (so I know he's not exaggerating, as he sometimes does) and its even been talked about in the media.

You can read about it here.
